A delightful pair of tongs laden with detailing.
The main body is covered with an intricate pierced design of engraved acanthus scrolls with the top of the handle featuring a scalloped shell motif.
There is a slight lip to the top of the tongs, useful for both asparagus & fish.
The hallmark is itself on the inside of the handle.
D.W.R is engraved to the bridge of the tongs.

 A Silver and Enamel Dressing table jar in a beautiful Peach color. The lid has a Sun burst design with a Art Deco shape to the centre and was made in Birmingham and Hallmarked in 1936.

 

Condition: Very Good Enamel and Glass. The lid is silver gilt inside with some scratches.

Diameter: Base 10 cms, Lid 8.3 cms.
